The three-month seclusion of monks for the raining season ends with the ceremony of giving “Kathina Robes” to the sangha community.
This is an important merit-making event of great social and religious significance for the Buddhist laity.
The following is the schedule of the event:
Date: 29th October, 2017 (Sunday)
– Gathering of devotees at the Wat
– Tak Bak and chanting by the Venerable Sangha
– Offering of vegetarian food to the Sangha
– Vegetarian lunch of laity
– Robe offering to the Venerable Sangha
