When I was first told of Aerobathon PUSPANITA Perak 2011, an aerobics marathon where participants had to exercise for two straight hours, I thought they are out of their mind. Well, just because I don’t have the endurance, doesn’t mean that others do not as well.

There was no reason for me to worry as the 200 participants, not only from Perak but also from Kelantan, Penang and Kedah, exercised for longer than the required two hours! What surprised me further was that two of the participants are 65 years old! Salute!

Participants were grouped into three age categories: Category A from 20 to 35 years old, Category B from 36 to 45 years old and Category C from 46 years old and above. They were not separated according to gender, oddly.

Anyway, aerobics marathon isn’t something new but this one was organised for the first time by the social bureau of PUSPANITA Perak, headed by the wife of Ipoh City Mayor, YB Datin Hajjah Zainab bt. Mohd. Zainal Abidin.

Category A: Nurul Huda bt. Abd. Hadi
Category B: Salina Omar
Category C: Rokiah bt. Abd. Talib
