Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, need no further introduction. During my visit to Sabah recently, I was hosted at the resort’s sister property, Villas & Suites Nexus Resort Karambunai. Both properties share the same grounds, but at the opposite intersections of the main road. These Nexus Resort Karambunai properties are about 45 minutes’ drive from Kota Kinabalu city centre.

It is fair to say that resort stay is not for everyone. If you are visiting Kota Kinabalu on business or shopping, then Villas & Suites Nexus Resort Karambunai is not for you. However, if you are here on holiday in the true sense of the word, there is no better place to be than at Nexus.

This is where you should switch off your mobile phone and leave your work behind. While away your days, lazing under the sun with a good book, or better yet, a great companion, and have everything else done for you. While on a REAL holiday, this is what you do – NOTHING!

Villas & Suites Nexus Resort Karambunai offer four types of accommodation: 1 & 2-bedroom Spa Suites and 2 & 3-bedroom Pool Villas.

Spa Suites, with entrance facing the garden and balcony facing the swimming pool and beach, are similar to walk-up apartments but they all come with individual spa and spa bathtub, hence its name.

Pool Villas, on the other hand, are semi-detached units that come with private swimming pool and garden, and a short walk from the beach. Definite “WOW” factors there. How about that for ultimate comfort and privacy?!

Spa Suites
1-bedroom (with an extra washroom) – 63
2-bedroom – 70

Pool Villas
2-bedroom – 70 (20 beach-fronted)
3-bedroom – 7 (3 beach-fronted)

Just a short distance from Villas & Suites Nexus Resort Karambunai is the Lagoon Park, where guests get to indulge in a host of motorised and non-motorised water rides, like the banana boat and jet ski. Think of the fun you could have here, similar to the water adventure I had at Asian Water Sports Village in Puchong!
