25th SAS Cup 2016: Day 7 – Malaysia (1) – India (6)
In a match that determines which team gets to proceed to the finals and face Australia for a shot at the Azlan Shah Cup, India showed that they have what it takes by trouncing Malaysia six to one.
Two goals by India in the first seven minutes of the game tremendously boosted their confidence and there was no stopping them from then onwards.
Malaysia seemed clueless and only after a short briefing by their coach during half time did they manage to get possession of the ball and scored a goal.
Nevertheless, local fans were fully behind the Speedy Tigers despite the many blunders. Malaysia play against New Zealand today at 6.05pm for the bronze medal.
