23rd SAS Cup 2014: Day 5 – Malaysia (7) – China (3)
Going into the match, Malaysia had expected a tough game against China. However, in the first half, the Chinese boys appeared clueless, or perhaps they had pushed themselves too hard in the two earlier matches where they performed brilliantly.
After leading 5-0, the Malaysia boys lost a little concentration, or maybe even a little too contented with their comfortable lead that they conceded three goals at the 44th, 61st and 66th minute.
Malaysia might have won the game with a comfortable lead but Coach K. Dharmaraj didn’t look too happy, therefore, calling upon his charges to reflect on the second half of the match.
Malaysia meet their toughest opponents yet, Australia, this Saturday, and need to snatch at least one point off the game for a chance to be featured in the finals.
