As always, Malaysia can expect the local fans to push them harder, to perform better. Perform they did, coming into the second half with a 0-2 scoreline.
The Koreans seemed to have taken things for granted, and looked as though they were contented with a 2-nil score, or perhaps they were just tired.
Going into the match, Malaysia were the underdogs – South Korea is at World number 7 while Malaysia is at 13th spot.
However, Malaysia realised they had nothing to lose, and went all out, finally forcing a 2-2 draw with only minutes left on the clock.
This hard-fought result meant that Malaysia have kept their hopes of playing in the finals alive.
