With a solid sports development programme, including for hockey, it is no wonder that Australia are world number one.

The South Korean lads had their hands full trying to defend and even managed to score twice but that wasn’t good enough.

Australia never took their strength for granted. Team Manager Paul Gaudoin said that although the Koreans are at number 8 in the world, their standing doesn’t really reflect how good they really are.

Already with nine points in the bag after three games, Paul said that their focus will be on the next match, which will be against New Zealand.
