2015 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup – Match 11 – Australia (3) – New Zealand (1)
In what seemed to be a preview of this year’s Sultan Azlan Shah Cup impending all-Oceania finals, Australia trounced New Zealand with a score of 3 – 2.
During a post-match press conference, New Zealand Coach Colin Batch said that his team had a good start but as they could see, it changed very quickly with each quarter.
A lapse of concentration was what cost New Zealand their game. Said Colin, “To be a top team, we have to perform well in all 60 minutes of the game.”
Australia may have won the match but their coach, Graham Reid, concurred with Colin that as a coach, one would never be satisfied until his team has won the tournament.
The Kookaburras have sealed their spot in the finals and yet Graham mentioned that they still have lots to work on!
