Where To Check & Pay Traffic Police Summons

A number of friends asked me where to check police traffic summons in Ipoh. Apparently, we can check and pay our police traffic summons online too at Rilek and MyEG but some people feel more secure receiving a hard copy official receipt from PDRM for payment made.

Well, just because I live in Ipoh, doesn’t mean I know too but I did a little ground research and found that in Ipoh, we can check and pay police traffic summons at the Ipoh District Traffic Police Headquarters (near Raja Perempuan Primary School) and Cawangan Trafik Ibu Pejabat Polis Ipoh (opposite Perak State Mosque) along Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab. First, queue up to “semak” (check the records for summons) and with that printout, queue again at another counter to settle it. Counters are open from 8am to 4.30pm.

Of course, there are also mobile traffic police kiosks in popular places but I have no idea where they are located right now. In any case, once you have found out your total summons, you can settle them at any Pos Malaysia post office. Also, I understand that there is this rush because of the police traffic summons promotion of 50% discount until 14th December, 2010. There’s not much time left…..
