Welcome Reception: 112th Malaysian Amateur Open Golf Championship 2014

A total of 107 golfers from 17 countries are in Ipoh to compete in the 112th Malaysian Amateur Open Golf Championship 2014, the first time the tournament is held in Ipoh in its history.

Organised by the Malaysian Golf Association and hosted in various international standard golf courses around Malaysia since 1894, this year’s tournament has attracted the participation of golfers from Australia, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, India and the United Kingdom, among others.

This welcome reception was hosted by Symphony Suites, the official hotel of the tournament. I was there to bring you some shots from the event as a prelude to the golf championship that begins today at the Royal Perak Golf Club.
