This public gallery of the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, was launched in October, 2012. It’s located just next to his office, on Level 9, Menara Prisma Persiaran Perdana, Precinct 3, Putrajaya.
As far as I know, this gallery is supposed to be temporary as there are just too many mementos to be displayed here at the same time. Due to space constraints, the staff have to rotate the items put on display, according to relevancy.
The gallery is divided into eight sections, including on Tun’s background, career, political, hobbies & collections, awards & medals and his tenure as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Although Pak Lah, as he is affectionately known, served as Malaysian Prime Minister from 2003 to 2009, there is still a lot of information about him that many may not know. That’s why a visit to this gallery is a must for fans and supporters. I understand that a private tea session could also be arranged, though the intended visit has to be notified at least one month in advance.
