Perak I.T. Fair 2012

The final “I.T. Fair” in Perak for the year was organised by PCDA (Persatuan Pengusaha Komputer dan Digital Perak). It was held over three days last weekend at Stadium Indera Mulia.

This IT Fair had a festive air to it, being so close to Christmas time. There were plenty of Santa Clauses, and all sales personnel were in Santa caps.

There were a couple of items I was looking out for: the new Samsung Galaxy Camera and also Windows 8 based tablets, again. I was also looking to buy cheap printer ink, which I did.

Although Samsung Galaxy Camera was not brought out for display, and I was still not impressed with any of the current Windows 8 tablet models, nevertheless, finally, I managed to buy ink for my printer…. or I would have to wait for another three months, at least, for the next “I.T. Fair”.

At Perak I.T. Fair, besides selling all things related to information technology, there were also other products like credit cards and household electrical appliances. I overhead a visitor wondering aloud why television sets were also sold here. These appliances should be displayed at an “E Fair” instead of “I.T. Fair”.

Attending so many similar fairs over the past year, I am quite jaded. I hope that after a good break of a few long months, we would be seeing something fresh in the upcoming instalment of IT Fair in 2013.

What IT products are you looking forward to next year? For me, I’m waiting for a lighter tablet with detachable keyboard!
