Penang Hosts the World Research Travel Conference (WRTC) 2024

Taking place from the 3rd until the 7th of November at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, this year’s conference with the theme ‘Opportunities, Synergies, Sustainability’ marks a historic first to be held outside of China.

The opening ceremony included a lively drum performance and a multicultural dance presentation by local school students, showcasing Penang’s rich cultural heritage. Additionally, delegates enjoyed a martial arts demonstration by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Shaolin Baduanjin, setting an energetic tone for the conference.
