PC Show Ipoh (3rd - 5th Dec, 2010)

6th PC Show. Two words: nothing exciting. With such a busy weekend I didn’t look forward to visiting PC Show because the excitement is no longer there. Maybe it’s because we have had one too many IT fairs recently so much so that I could even recognise the sales peeps or maybe it’s because IT shows in Ipoh don’t have PC show girls.

I did come across something new though; the Toshiba AS100 tablet that runs Android Froyo but surprisingly has no phone call function and the latest Garmin Nuvi GPS in HD. The model escapes me. The Toshiba AS100 tablet is retailing at MYR1599 while the Garmin Nuvi is retailing at MYR1299. Not exactly expensive but I am not desperate for these devices yet. Let’s wait for the market to mature a little. There will be more choices and prices will drop further. Yes, keeping my fingers crossed for that.

I finally managed to buy something this time: DVD blanks and laptop sleeve. Cheap stuff but exactly what I need. It was nice shopping this afternoon; the crowd was sparse. Maybe folks have gone to attend the National Horse Show.
