Tune Hotel Ipoh may have opened its doors for business on 30th March, 2012, but the official launching ceremony was held on 17th April, 2012. The guest of honour was Y.B. Dato’ Dr. Ong Hong Peng, who represented Tourism Minister Y.B.. Dato’ Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.
Did you know that Tune Hotel Ipoh, the 11th Tune Hotel in Malaysia and 20th worldwide, is the first hotel in the Tune Hotels Group to carry a new hotel brand standards? All other Tune Hotels would soon be adopting this chic and trendy design, which took seven months to conceptualise and implement. Check out my photos of Tune Hotel Ipoh HERE.
Tune Hotel Ipoh is also the first hotel in the chain to offer family-oriented rooms. The third and fourth floors are where these rooms, one room with a double bed connected to one room with two single beds, are located. As many of us already know, this Malaysian brand offers affordable accommodation, which means, guests have more money to spend locally. Their disabled friendly room is larger, but the rate is similar to that of a standard room.
I personally really like this value-for-money, limited service concept. I see no logic in paying for something that I wouldn’t use, like air-conditioning, or something that I wouldn’t have time to use, like TV. Additionally, one could easily book accommodation online in advance for possibly cheaper rate.
The next Tune Hotel to open is in Paddington and King’s Cross, both in London, on 25th June and 9th July respectively. Just in time for London 2012 Olympic Games.
