Guests are also encouraged to visit the Mah Meri historical gallery, where cultural heritage is brought back to life. This village also has a cultural learning centre and workshops are conducted on mask dancing and music, leaf origami, tree-bark cloth making, thatched roof making and mangrove timber sculpting.
Other cultural attractions offered are the heritage island guided tour, Spirit’s Day, sunset watching, village walkabout, island roaming, visit to a shrine; and wedding and healing ceremonies.
The Mah Meri Cultural Village also boasts a traditional restaurant where a traditional island menu is served, including ketupat rice with a choice of chicken or fish, island salad, island fruits and island drinks.
To really enjoy the Mah Meri culture like a native, one needs to set aside at least 4.5 hours. Transport to and from Kuala Lumpur can be arranged.

Daily: 9am – 6pm (closed on Mondays)
