Luggage Storage @ KL Sentral
I was at KL Sentral a couple of weeks ago and had some time to spare. Walking around, I came across this new facility for commuters to store their luggage.
These are automated lockers that would only open based on facial recognition and thumb print. They are available in three sizes: Large, Medium and Small, at a fee of RM40, RM20 and RM10 respectively for 24 hours.
The machines are in three languages; English, Malay and Mandarin, so they cater to just about anyone. In any case, there are staff on duty 24/7 to assist commuters who require a helping hand.
I remember storing my luggage at KL Sentral once many years ago. I couldn’t locate them anymore. Later, I was informed that this company has moved their storage to NU Sentral. I don’t have information where exactly they are now but if they are in the mall, it is going to be a hassle to collect our luggage, should we arrive past mall opening hours.
On the other hand, Dr. Locker operates throughout the day and night. However, do be mindful that a full daily charge is imposed should you collect your luggage after midnight, even slightly past the time.
Still, it is better than lugging heavy luggage all over town, if we were just transiting Kuala Lumpur.
If you are not a fan of storage lockers, I came across this new luggage storage service called PostCo Bags who not only operates in KL Sentral but also have over 100+ locations across Malaysia. This is the official website: https://postco.co/bags
In terms of pricing, PostCo bags charges RM 20 per day regardless of luggage size, making them the cheapest luggage storage option and really convenient with their network of stores all across Malaysia.
Their location at KL Sentral is at PODs The Backpackers Home & Cafe, my default backpackers’ lodged at KL Sentral. Wah Harun, the owner of this backpacker home/cafe is ever ready to help travellers with their luggage so that they can travel free and light.

This could be really convenient for travelers. Should recommend this to my friends when they travel to KL 😀
This is great, the storage as service seems new. I guess it better for me to store my luggage here , then bring it with me. It not safe to travel with heavy beg, especially in monorel or komuter.

Interesting, never notice them last time. By face and thumb is really high tech. Now I know where to store my things if I’m around NU.
This really sounds like it will help many travelers. I like that its convenient.
There should be more luggage store around KL. I remembr back then when i was a student. During semester break, me & my friends use to come to KL before heading back to hometown. And when we’re in KL, we don’t really have choice where to put our luggage.
