Kiwanis Meru Valley Fancy Costume Dinner Party

I attended a fancy costume dinner party at Tower Regency Hotel recently, organised by Kiwanis Club of Meru Valley, Ipoh. It was to raise funds to help Kiwanis International and UNICEF in their effort to eliminate Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) in less developed countries around the world.
MNT is estimated to kill 30,000 mothers and 60,000 newborn babies yearly. The cost of three vaccinations for each woman of childbearing age to prevent MNT is surprisingly, only RM6. If you would like to donate to this fund, call Kiwanis Meru Valley’s Ms. Kimberly Tan at 012-5968933.
Besides encouraging guests to turn up in fancy costumes, where there were prizes for the best dressed, there were also interactive games, and plenty of singing and dancing. I was greatly entertained that night, especially by the two Latin dances by Mr. and Mrs. Chooi and Collin Chong’s impersonation of Leslie Cheung.
