Gua Tempurung, Gopeng

The wondrous caves of Gua Tempurung, some 6km south of Gopeng town, needs no introduction. For a stretch of nearly 2km long, visitors to Gua Tempurung, which is actually an intricate system of connecting caves in the shape of a tunnel, can experience the wonders of Mother Nature first hand.

Known as the largest and most magnificent limestone cave in Peninsular Malaysia, Gua Tempurung is made up of five huge domes, a breathtaking gallery of stalagmites and stalactites and other rock formations, shaped over the years.

Four adventure packages are offered here: two dry and two wet tours. Depending on the tour selection, entry fee per adult starts from RM6 to RM22, with concession fare for children and senior citizens.

Minimum time required to participate in these tours is from 45 minutes to three hours. Tours may be delayed, postponed or even cancelled in the event of adverse weather conditions.
