Exploring 66 Food Court Gunung Rapat
66 Food Court is a chain of nine food courts in Ipoh alone. I have eaten at some of them over time but not at this outlet in Gunung Rapat, formerly GR Convention Hall. Opened for business in late 2020, many of the popular food court stalls at 66 are here as well, sort of like mini franchisees.
Although we had wanted to patronise earlier, it was difficult with the Movement Control Order (MCO) regulations kept changing, and the 101 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) made planning difficult.
Off hand, there are about 50 stalls or more at 66 Food Court Gunung Rapat, offering a wide variety of much-loved street food, local snacks, full meals and even main courses. The highlight here is probably the mixed rice stall that boasts as many as 88 types of dishes to select from.
We didn’t order from the mixed rice stall despite its variety. Here’s our lunch instead. Just for your information, a food court as huge as 66 requires multiple visits to try at least 70% – 80% of the stalls!
By the way, probably because of its location (Gunung Rapat), the pricing seems more reasonable as well, but don’t quote me on this.
