Exhibition of the Conference of Rulers @ Royal Museum
This exhibition is held in collaboration with the Office of the Keeper of the Ruler’s Seal. It generally highlights the institution of the Conference of Rulers as a body of with an important role in Malaysia’s Constitutional Monarchy.
The 2-month long exhibition begins with a segment on the history of the Durbar Meeting, followed by a general description of the powers, functions, jurisdiction and the scope of the Conference of Rulers.
The essence of this exhibition is the uniqueness of the system practised by members of the Conference of Rulers in the selection and appointment of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong as Malaysia’s Supreme Ruler.
Granted, this exhibition may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but those who are interested in Malaysia’s Constitutional Monarchy would find this interesting.
