Chin Woo Carnival Awards Presentation & Closing Ceremony
After two days of stiff competition at the Chin Woo Carnival hosted in Ipoh, Malaysia, it was time to close the Carnival, and award the winners.
As mentioned in an earlier post, Ipoh Chinwoo dragon dance troupe was the champion in the dragon dance competition while Chin Woo USA were declared winners in the lion dance competition. Congratulations.
Three other major awards presented were the National Chin Woo Championships in Wushu won by Chin Woo Negeri Sembilan (Malaysia); Foreign Chin Woo Championships in Wushu presented to Chin Woo Tianjin (China); and National Overall Championship, which also went to Chin Woo Negeri Sembilan.
Chin Woo Negeri Sembilan (Malaysia) will host the next Carnival. The dates will be announced in due time.
Besides awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to the top three winners per category, those placed fourth to sixth also received placing certificates. With some one thousand athletes, the awards presentation certainly took a considerable amount of time. Check out my photos.
