Announcement: Meow Yuen Zen Monastery Vegetarian Food Fair
The committee members of Meow Yuen Zen Monsatery in Bercham, Ipoh are calling upon generous donors and sponsors to support their fund-raising effort to kick-start their temple building fund.
To start the ball rolling, a mega vegetarian food fair will be held on March 22, 2015 at the temple. Visitors to the fair can expect to sample more than a hundred different food items, all of which are vegetarian.
Some of these foods are especially prepared for the fair, or are “imported” from smaller towns in Perak such as Taiping, Kuala Kangsar and Pusing.
A number of them will be homemade. Among them are the vegetarian Eight Treasure Porridge, Nasi Lemak and Laksa.
This means that on ordinary days, we are hard pressed to get ahold of these dishes. Therefore, this vegetarian food fair is a rare opportunity to do so. Do not miss this chance!
Sale of food at the fair will be via coupons only. These coupons, sold at booklets of RM10, are available at the following outlets in town:
