I personally do not feel very safe using the ferry, probably because I don’t know how to swim. If I have to use the ferry regularly, I’d definitely don a life jacket each time I board the ferry. Actually, this is what every commuter should do. Safety first!

Penang ferry fares:

Bicycle – RM1.40
Motorcycle – RM2
Trishaw (rickshaw) – RM3.30
Car – RM7.70

Lorry – 4-wheeler – RM13.20
Lorry – 6-wheeler – RM27.50
