Rimba Raid X Lenggong 2025 To Mark a Decade of Adrenaline and Adventure
The countdown is on. Come June 2025, the quiet heritage town of Lenggong, Perak, will once again roar to life as the jungle plays host to one of Southeast Asia’s most thrilling two-wheeled events: Rimba Raid X Lenggong 2025.
This 10th-anniversary edition promises more action, more competitors, and a deeper connection with both the natural world and the community that surrounds it.

A Decade in the Dirt
What started in 2015 as a niche event for large-capacity adventure and dual-purpose motorcycles has now grown into a respected international race.
Rimba Raid is no longer just a ride through the rainforest but a test of spirit, skill, and stamina. In this milestone year, organisers are pulling out all the stops to deliver the biggest and boldest edition yet.

To be held from 26th to 29th June 2025, the event is centred at the scenic Tasik Raban. It kicks off with registration and scrutineering on the 26th, followed by a prologue qualifying round on the 27th. The real action begins on 28th and 29th June: two gruelling days of off-road racing through 250km of raw jungle terrain.
A New Format, Better for Fans
In a move designed to bring fans closer to the action, Race Day 1 will be run on a specially curated 9km loop circuit at Pulau Petanda, just five minutes from the main venue.
This change means spectators can witness the intensity of off-road racing up close, for free. Expect roaring engines, flying mud, and riders pushing limits, all within easy view.

Braving the Jungle
The Rimba Raid route is no walk in the park. Riders will wrestle with ancient trails through dense rainforest, scale mountains reaching 1,000 metres, and navigate unforgiving river crossings.
Legendary obstacles like “Bukit Sumpah”, “Batu Nisan”, and “Gate of Despair” await on Race Day 2, making the finishers’ medal a hard-earned badge of honour.
With past completion rates hovering at just 60%–70%, this year’s goal is 80%. Early training, tougher machines, and favourable weather forecasts are stacking the odds in riders’ favour.
Women, Wheels and Worldwide Talent
The 2025 edition will feature more than 250 male riders, joined by at least 8 female competitors from four different countries: a powerful symbol of the growing inclusivity in motorsports.
Plus, it’s not just a Malaysian affair anymore. Teams from Thailand and Singapore are sending over 25 riders each, while individual entries are pouring in from Japan, Europe, China and beyond.
Interestingly, there’s a surge in competitors riding Chinese-manufactured models, like the CFMoto 450MT and Voge DS900X, hoping to prove their mettle in this demanding environment.
Motorcycles, by the Numbers
Riders will be competing across six classes, divided by engine type:
– Heavy-hitting 1000cc+ adventure bikes (think BMW GS, Honda Africa Twin)
– Midweight multi-cylinder machines (like KTM 890 and Yamaha Ténéré 700)
– Single-cylinder 250cc+ bikes for the true off-road purist
– Supporting categories: lifestyle kapcais, adventure scooters, and e-bikes
Currently, Class C leads the pack in entries, with Class B shaping up to be a fierce battlefield, particularly between Yamaha and KTM.
More Than Just a Race
Beyond racing, Rimba Raid plays a bigger role. It’s a platform for promoting Malaysian ecotourism, particularly the stunning Lenggong Valley, a UNESCO-listed archaeological heritage site.
Riders and spectators alike are treated to panoramic views, ancient rainforests, mist-covered peaks, and glimpses of rare wildlife.
It’s also a strong economic engine. Thousands of visitors, team members, and support crews are expected to flood the area, giving a significant boost to local businesses. Hotels, food stalls, transport services, and local staff are all set to benefit.
Over 200 locals will be hired for safety, logistics, and marshalling duties; a vital injection of income and community engagement.
In Harmony with Nature
Despite being a motorised event, Rimba Raid holds a reputation for responsible environmental practices.
Permits from the Perak State Forestry Department are only granted with strict environmental guidelines, and the organisers are committed to leaving the jungle as they found it. Their track record of eco-conscious planning allows them to continue using the trails responsibly.

Sponsors, Shows and Community Spirit
Rimba Raid 2025 won’t be short of spectacle. Big-name sponsors like Petronas, Michelin, KTM, Yamaha, Husqvarna, Ducati and Harley-Davidson are part of the show, alongside dozens of local and international vendors.
Visitors can expect a lively race village filled with food, products, exhibitions, and genuine Malaysian hospitality.

Rimba Raid X Lenggong 2025 is not just a race but a celebration – a celebration of a decade of daring adventure, of the riders who live for the thrill, of the jungles that challenge them, and of the communities that support it all.
Whether you’re a rider, a fan, or just someone looking for an unforgettable weekend, make your way to Lenggong this June. The jungle is calling.
