Mr Crab Seafood and Steamboat Restaurant, Labuan
Eponymous Labuan Island is actually made up of the main island with six smaller surrounding islands. Therefore, seafood is the staple food here. It is no surprise that at Mr Crab Seafood and Steamboat Restaurant, fresh seafood is the order of the day, whether for lunch or dinner.
During my hosted trip to explore Labuan’s tourism products, one of my meals was at Mr Crab. My fellow delegates and I were served with these dishes, as you can see from the photos, personally prepared by the owner, Chef Firdaus.
The restaurant opened for business last year and it soon became the talk of the town. In fact, tourists who visit Labuan are said not to have truly experienced Labuan without dining here at least once.
After having our appetising meal here, I could surely understand its popularity. It was a meal to remember! Delicious food aside, some people enjoy dining in a restaurant built on stilts by the river.
From what I understand, the restaurant is really packed during dinnertime because of its romantic ambience, so reservation may be required.
One pro tip I would like to share with readers is to go in a large group so that you can order more varieties of seafood to savour. If you have visited Labuan before, did you dine at Mr Crab Seafood and Steamboat Restaurant?

So nice to eat seafood and steamboat.. I just had steamboat yesterday night also… very satisfying meal..
I have always heard that seafood in East Malaysia is way cheap, even more so for Labuan. The way the black pomfret is cooked and served is very unique. Yumm!
I like this concept where in you will shop for your seafood and fishes alive, and they will cook them for you! That way, we can make sure the foods are good.

Selalu dengar makanan seafood di Labuan ni murah dan fresh-fresh. Bilalah sis dapat merasa nak ke sana. Tengok hidangan di atas tu buatkan tak sabar sis nak ke sana..hehehe
