Launch-cum-Charity Sale of 佛所預言的聖地~與快樂之鄉的邂逅 Buddha’s Prophecy: Meeting with the Happiest Village

Christmas 2019 was spent at Tergar Asia Annual Retreat at The Everly Putrajaya for the launch-cum-charity sale of “佛所預言的聖地~與快樂之鄉的邂逅 Buddha’s Prophecy: Meeting with the Happiest Village” by the Venerable Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche.

This book tells of the religious history of Samagaun Village in Nubri Valley, Nepal. However, it does not only promote Tibetan Buddhism but also tourism in the valley.

Samagaun is the home village of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and older brother the Venerable Tsoknyi Rinpoche. It was one of the worst-hit areas of the devastating 2015 Nepal earthquake.

It is hoped that the publication of this fascinating book can help create greater awareness of Samagaun’s culture and its scenic beauty.

Sold at RM50 per copy, money raised is utilised for the Ngagyur Pema Choling Monastery, and Samagaun primary school with approximately 50 pupils.

“佛所預言的聖地~與快樂之鄉的邂逅 Buddha’s Prophecy: Meeting with the Happiest Village” was written by Ms Leong Oi Yin. Preparation for this book was also the reason I was in Nepal in May – June 2019, at the invitation of Samagaun head lama, Ula Jigmé Tsewang Namgyal Lama, who is the cousin brother of the Rinpoches.
