Langkawi Museum of Cultures & Weddings
This Museum of Cultures and Weddings (Muzium Adat Istiadat Dan Perkahwinan) is a unique museum that is housed under Langkawi Craft Complex. Here, many different wedding cultures of Malaysia are showcased, some are common, some I have not even seen before, like the Bajau wedding.
A visit to this museum is really educational, and best of all, it is free, just like Kompleks Kraf Langkawi. I didn’t have enough time to read through the descriptions of all the wedding cultures of Malaysia – this museum definitely deserves a second visit!
If you are ever in Langkawi, do drop by this museum to have a look at the rich and diverse wedding cultures of Malaysia. Bet you didn’t even know some of these cultures existed!
