A Hokkien Lunch at A Bi Han Ten (阿美飯店) @ Taipei, Taiwan
The time that my group and I spent in Taipei was fleeting – it was not even 24 hours.
However, we were bent on making the best out of the trip, and obviously, it had to begin with refuelling our energy, after a long journey from Tainan.
A Bi Han Ten (阿美飯店), located in the heart of the city, was chosen as our lunch spot by our tour guide, and she was spot on. Oh, what a scrumptious meal of authentic Taiwanese-Hokkien cuisine!
I already knew that we were in the right place even before lunch was served, judging by the local crowd of diners.
Although I don’t have the menu, or the names of these dishes, I’m sure that you won’t go wrong if you just showed the waiter these photos of the dishes that are shared in today’s post.
Of course, a meal is more enjoyable with the right company, which was what we had during this Taiwan trip, communicating in Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hokkien, Cantonese, English and even Bahasa Malaysia (or Bahasa Melayu to some).
