Due to a tight work schedule, I can only arrange meet-ups during weekends. This weekend, I am in Ipoh, and delightlyfully arranged to meet up with friends. It was decided that the venue would be Dulang Coffee House at Hotel Excelsior Ipoh.

Dulang Coffee House is an ‘old’ trademark in Ipoh’s hospitality circle. After all, Hotel Excelsior Ipoh is the first star-rated hotel in the city since the 1980s.

We were there yesterday afternoon for its Hi-Tea Buffet. So, here I am sharing some photos of the items in the buffet line.

You can see that it was a right choice that we made, given the menu that was available to us for Hi-Tea Buffet. The price is friendly and the ambience, just nice.

Although Hotel Excelsior is the big brother among all hotels in Ipoh, its standard is well maintained. The service staff is amiable and attentive as well. Thus, don’t write it off your list of must-eat in Ipoh.

If you wondered from these photos why the coffee house was empty yesterday, it was because I was there early, before the buffet line opened. Haha!

By the way, this Hi-Tea Buffet is only available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, from 12pm to 4pm.

I understand that some people like to maximise their buffet meal by arriving at the start and only leaving before closing time. Dulang Coffee House is indeed a nice place to relax and chat among family or friends over a delicious meal.

Do take note that there are tweaks to the menu every time. Therefore, even if you dine at Dulang Coffee House consecutively on Saturday and Sunday during one weekend, different items are served.

Price for Hi-Tea Buffet at Hotel Excelsior Ipoh’s Dulang Coffee House is RM29.90 nett per adult and RM26.90 nett per child / senior citizen. Walk in or call for reservation.

Besides this Hi-Tea Buffet, patrons can opt for the coffee house set lunch or set dinner. These set meals are also available on weekdays. Price is RM15 nett and comes with complimentary Soup, Salad and Dessert.

  1. Nampak semua makanan sedap-sedap. Tapi paling sedap mee goreng singapore tu kan hehehehhe. Antara feveret i 🙂 boleh rekomen kat famili atau kawan datang sini bila ke Ipoh.

  2. Kalau pergi buffet memang banyak pilihan makan. Semua makanan-makanan ni nampak sangat sedap. Especially lemang, rendang, chicken masala & all the dessert. Harga pon berpatutan

  3. I think maybe it is still in Syawal month, all I see is lemang and rendang. Hahaha. I know you and your friends did enjoy yourselves to the max there – I know I will. Hehe
