I went to Kuala Lumpur a few days ago especially to attend the grand finale of Asia Model Festival Awards New Face Model Search – Malaysia 2011, without knowing what to expect. From 16 finalists, two were eliminated in the boot camp just before D-Day, and so, fourteen young men and women took to the stage to show the judges all they got.
There was a press conference prior to the grand finals, where representatives from the media were able to meet with the judges and the Korean entourage. Those present, besides supermodel Amber Chia and catwalk guru Benjamin Toong, were Chairman of the Korea Model Association Yang Eui-Sig, President of the Korea Pro Makeup Association Ahn Mee-Ryu and Korean supermodel-turned-actress Lee Hwa-Seon. All five were judges at the grand finale.
Also in attendance at the press conference were International Director of the Korea Model Association Raulen Lee and Dr. No Young-Woo from Doctor Oracle Korea. Kelly Moon was the translator.
