Announcement: Kathina Pinkama 2016 @ Wat Puthanimittam
The three-month seclusion of monks for the raining season ends with the ceremony of giving “Kathina Robes” to the sangha community.
This is an important merit-making event of great social and religious significance for the Buddhist laity.
The following is the schedule of the event:
Date: 13th November, 2016 (Sunday)
Time:
9.30am
– Gathering of devotees at the Wat
10am
– Tak Bak and chanting by the Venerable Sangha
11.30am
– Offering of vegetarian food to the Sangha
12pm
– Vegetarian lunch of laity
1pm
– Robe offering to the Venerable Sangha

Thanks for letting us know. I usually stay at home during deepavali cos I stay near the procession to Batu Caves, and it can get quite jammed when the procession happens, so it would be a perfect time to snuggle at home with the hubby and doggies.
