Restoran Kuah Singgang, Kuala Terengganu

One of the local foods to eat while in Terengganu is 'ikan singgang'. I have no English word for the dish, but it's fish in a yellow watery soup, which you can see from my photo below. Some suggest to eat this with the 'budu' which is chilli, but others say it is not necessary. Well, ... continue reading »

During my visit recently, my friends ... continue reading »

Restoran Baiduri 2, Monica Bay

This Malay seafood restaurant is a popular dinner spot for those who are on their way for turtle-watching. After all, the turtle landing stretch, Teluk Mak Nik (Monica Bay), is just a short drive away. Naturally, this was where we had our late dinner as well, before proceeding to our turtle-watching activity recently. Check out my photos ... continue reading »

Sungai Yak Yah fireflies

I have been to quite a few river cruises in search of fireflies before. While in Terengganu recently, it was also one of the activities we indulged in. Cruising through Sungai Chukai (Chukai River) / Sungai Yak Yah (Yak Yah River), I would say that I was more impressed by the fireflies colonies of Perak's ... continue reading »
