To make it more meaningful, he invited Shah Alam resident, Abang Razali, along with his wife and daughter, to join him. Despite living in Shah Alam for years, they had never tried Restoran Famous Thai.

Soon followed were other popular items on the menu, including the fried rice selections. The nasi goreng Thai delivered a satisfying, well-rounded flavour, while the nasi goreng mango offered a slightly different taste profile.
One of the highlights was the sweet-and-sour fried siakap, which brought a more robust contrast, blending tangy and savoury elements. Alongside these were signature dishes like pucuk paku belacan, deep-fried eggplant, and butter prawns, each adding its own appeal to the table.
The curry selection deserves its own mention. Offered in red, white, and green, each version had its own character. They reflected the range and depth of Thai cuisine, showing that even within a single category, there is room for nuance.
