Lunch Specials From Healy Mac’s Irish Bar and Restaurant

Healy Mac’s is not a new restaurant. It has been here in Ipoh almost two years already.

Well, it is just a stone’s throw away from my place of work in Greentown Business Centre, so I decided to meet up with my family here for lunch one recent afternoon.

Healy Mac’s offers about five different set lunches every month, so what we had were November specials. Therefore, take note that by December, these meal sets are no longer available.

Like I said, every month, there are five sets, but as we were unable to decide what to have, we ordered all five to share among ourselves. Brilliant idea, eh?

For November specials, we had spicy tuna spaghetti with Thai basil, Classic BLT which was bacon, lettuce and tomato; chicken salad, creamy tomato pasta with chicken and smokey BBQ chicken and bacon.

Now, I have said that these sets change every month, but what remain constant are that the meals come with a complimentary drink, such as juice, soup of the day, which will be a surprise from Chef Litha who is the one who prepares the menu, and the price, which is fixed at RM19++ each.

Healy Mac’s enjoys a different crowd in the evenings, being an Irish bar and restaurant. Monday is quiz night for patrons. From 9pm onwards, there will be five rounds of quizzes, where there is a winner every round, and a grand prize winner. What’s up for grabs? How do you like a tower of beer? Vodka? Winners in every round gets a free jug of beer. Woohoo!!
