I noted that some of the participants were quite young and I wouldn’t consider them veterans so I asked a Wanita MCA member if there are age restrictions. She told me the minimum age is 35 years old while there is no maximum. Surely 35 is too young to be labelled “veteran”?? How about setting the minimum age to, say, 50??
I don’t have the list of winners of this 2011 Veteran Karaoke Singing Competition because I didn’t stay till the end of the competition. I don’t know how to appreciate Mandarin oldies! However, I did stay long enough to catch Malaysia’s very own Justin Bieber who rendered the hit song, Baby, with all the right moves, during a ten-minute break. His name is Yao Zong.
