World Ecotourism Expo 2017 (WET-EXPO)
Hosted for the first time in Ipoh, World Ecotourism Expo 2017 (WET-EXPO) is part of the state’s year-long calendar of colourful events, in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2017.
This three-day international event is a platform for exhibitors to learn from one another and share experiences, as well as to promote their products and services at an international level.
Being someone who has renewed interest in eco-tourism, particularly after my experiences at Sahom Valley Agro & Eco Resort, followed by Razila Adventure And Resort, I have been rediscovering many of Perak’s eco-resorts.
Just last week, I was at Taman Eko-Rimba Lata Kinjang and Pusat Rekreasi Lubuk Timah. Visiting WET-EXPO 2017, which literally came to my doorstep, I have been reintroduced to some of Perak’s hidden gems, which I have forgotten about.
WET-EXPO 2017 has provided me with information to schedule my list of places to explore during my next road trip. Some of the properties include Tambak D’Village, Felda Residence Hot Springs and Syamille Agro Farm & Resort.
Other exhibitors at WET-EXPO 2017 include Tanjung Tualang 5, Kellie’s Castle, Majlis Perbandaran Taiping, Radak Adventure, Perak State Forestry, Malaysian Nature Society and more.
By the way, registered visitors stand a chance to win prizes in the form of travel or F&B vouchers in a lucky draw. There are 100 prizes to be given away. Will I be lucky enough? Let’s hope so! Head to WET-EXPO 2017 this weekend. Admission is free-of-charge.

Love such eco events. Makes us knowledgeable to things that we as travellers often take for granted!

This expo is a great place for those looking for trips since school holidays is coming soon. Wish I could attend but it’s too far.
Oh, today is the last day of the event. Must go and check out all the interesting parts of Perak.
