Subang Skypark, also known as Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Subang International Airport or simply, Subang Airport, used to be the primary airport before the opening of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang, in 1998.
The Terminal 3 building, which serves as the hub for Berjaya Air and Firefly commercial turboprop services (passenger planes) is currently undergoing extensive transformation to turn it into an ultra-modern general and corporate aviation hub.
Subang Skypark was one of the “attractions” we visited during a tour of Selangor. A friend told me there’s nothing to see there and it is a boring place. I was there once and I had that impression as well, but after an insightful tour of Subang Skypark, I now have a different, more positive opinion of the airport.
