1. Watoto Children’s Choir in Ipoh

Yes! Having attended the Watoto Children’s Choir in Ipoh in 2014, and being uplifted by the children’s fighting spirit against the many adversaries that have plagued their young lives, I am more than willing to support them in their roadshow once again.

The 18 children, orphans from the ages of six to 13 years old, will be accompanied by ten adults. These children have lost one or both parents to AIDS or to the war, and now live in a Watoto village in Kampala, Uganda. Watoto, by the way, means “children” in the Swahili language.

3. sharing the power of God

The choir will present a blend of native African rhythms, contemporary gospel music and ethnic dance, as well as putting across Watoto’s vision and mission by sharing personal stories, music and dance. On tour, these children represent the many other African kids who have experienced similar heartbreaking pain and suffering.
