Tesco Ipoh Order & Collect

Grocery shopping at my regular hypermarket, Tesco Ipoh, is like going to war, with the queue snaking to 5 kilometres or longer.

What usually took less than an hour prior to the Movement Control Order (MCO) now takes more time than I could spare. However, these are not ordinary times as we are at war with COVID-19.

After giving up from shopping at hypermarkets and supermarkets, instead opted for mom-and-pop grocery shops in the neighbourhood, finally, Tesco offers Order & Collect service, free-of-charge for the convenience of shoppers.

In Ipoh, Tesco Order & Collect service is available at Station 18, Bercham and Bandar Baru Medan. The numbers to WhatsApp your shopping list to are:

Station 18: +6011-62071305
Bercham: +6011-70209579
Bandar Baru Medan: +6011-39309224

Just send a WhatsApp message to the respective store, with your name and a shopping list as comprehensive as possible, with a maximum of 25 items. This message has to be sent in between 8am until 4pm.

Tesco’s personal shopper team will pick up the items and place them in their trolley. The necessities are limited to essentials such as groceries and fresh produce, and while stocks last.

Once your order is ready for collection, you will be alerted by WhatsApp, along with a barcode for payment purpose. On the same day, before 6pm, make your way to the said Tesco Hypermarket to proceed to check out at a dedicated payment counter via the barcode received.

Sounds easy enough. Have you shopped at Tesco using this new Order & Collect service yet?

With love
