𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐈𝐩𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟓𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐩𝐨𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲Held on the last Sunday of every month, January's main theme for Ipoh Car-Free Day was the celebration of New Year 2023 and Chinese New Year, the Year of the Water Rabbit. It attracted some 3,000 people to the lively event. Chinese New Year is one of the most important festivals for the Chinese community, but other races in Malaysia join in the celebration as well. The Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity.Ipoh Car-Free Day also coincides with the newly announced policy by the Malaysian government, "Malaysia Madani" which means "Civilised Malaysia", in terms of thought, spirituality and materialism (with regards to society, generation and so on). It is an effort to shape society by instilling the virtues of family. The term "Malaysia Madani" is translated in English as "civil society".Among the activities that took place yesterday morning was "ECOMANIA @ Ipoh Car Free Day", a competition and game event organized by students of Year 1 SVM BPP Kolej Vokasional Lebuh Catur with a "green" concept. The contested events are the "Splash Color Run" for all ages, the Bearded Fox Competition for the adult category and the Fun Adventure Competition for the children's category with the theme of "People's Sports".In addition to that, the Youth and Sports Department also did not miss out on giving a good commitment by providing a game that all visitors had fun participating in. in the Penalty Shoot Challenge, they were asked to kick the ball into the goal. Prizes awaited successful players. ... See MoreSee Less
