Symphony Suites Hotel Annual Buka Puasa With Underprivileged Kids
What a memorable evening it was for the 60 children; forty from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Darussalam orphanage and twenty others from selected homes and marginalised families, when they were invited to break fast at Symphony Suites Hotel, Ipoh on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, they were treated to a shopping spree at Econsave Ampang Baru to choose Hari Raya apparel to the value of RM50 per recipient, generously sponsored by the store.
The Corporate Social Responsibility initiative was a collaboration between Symphony Suites Hotel and Econsave Ampang Baru. Of course, this noteworthy event was more jubilant with the personal contribution of hotel Chief Executive Officer Mr Lee Chee Ming in the form of duit Raya, as well as goodie bags sponsored by the youngest daughter of Mr Nagappen.
This event was the hotel’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to give back to those in the community who are disadvantaged, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
While dining over a scrumptious buka puasa meal, guests were entertained with cheerful Hari Raya tunes serenaded by emcee Louis Sebastian and the hotel staff.
Besides the hosts and junior VIPs, on the guest list were YB Dr Lee Boon Chye (Deputy Health Minister), En Mohamad Jamean Bin Zulkepli (Special Officer to YB Tan Kah Hing, Perak Tourism ExCo), retired Ipoh Mayor Dato’ Roshidi, Ipoh City Councillors, Econsave Ampang Baru General Manager Mr Chua and his staff, business associates, media friends, and well-wishers.
What a meaningful occasion it was to ensure that no children were left out of the festive celebration despite their circumstances.
