Pusat Makanan Rainbow (Rainbow City Hawker Stall) or more popularly known to the locals as Thong Sui Kai or Dessert Street, once again is the venue for the annual Street Food Festival.

Previously known as Karnival Penjaja Ipoh (1Malaysia Fabulous Food), this two-day street food festival served to bring together all the best street local foods to be introduced to all.

Having been to two previous street food carnivals in 2010 and 2011, I have to say, I wasn’t too impressed by the variety of stalls here. Perhaps I am too regular at the weekly night markets.

However, I don’t deny that for anyone unfamiliar with local street food, or for those who are there to eat, there are many choices to select from, and at pretty reasonable prices too.

All in all, including the permanent food stalls that are open for business nightly at Thong Sui Kai, there are more than a hundred stalls during this festival.
