SkyTrex Adventure, Shah Alam

SkyTrex Adventure
Welcome to SkyTrex Adventure!

Checking out the website of SkyTrex Adventure prior to our visit isn’t really the same as going through the challenges ourselves. This adventure park boasts four high-rope challenge circuits amidst twenty hectares of lush living forest in Shah Alam, Selangor. Another plus point, for me, would be its proximity to Kuala Lumpur.

Everyone who comes to SkyTrex Adventure must go through the most basic initiation circuit, where safety measures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are taught. The initiation circuit is a mini version of the challenges that we are to face ahead.

Once that was done, we proceeded to the Big Thrill Course. This circuit has 26 challenges, with various levels of difficulty. The first challenge would be climbing up a steep ladder of 14 metres to the platform where the rest of the challenges await. As soon as you overcome the ladder, there’s no turning back! The maximum height of platforms in this circuit is 17 metres, and the entire course would require at least 2 hours to complete.

Safety instructions are available at the starting point of each challenge, as sometimes, we would be alone up there, without an instructor. Challenges come in funny names, like “Crazy Zig-Zag“, “Sky-crawl“, “The Earthquake“ and “Happy Hopper“, just to name a few.

While the main objective of SkyTrex Adventure is to get visitors up in the sky to admire Mother Nature from a different eye view, I think that once we are up there, the only thing we concentrate on is crossing from tree to tree as best we could! Personally, I had no time for Mother Nature! That would have to wait for my second round up.

Having gone through the Big Thrill Course myself, I would say that the biggest challenge is overcoming our own fear. Maybe some of us are afraid of heights, of falling, and a host of other scary thoughts that crosses our mind. However, with safety measures taken properly, it is VERY safe. Anyone who comes out of SkyTrex Adventure will experience a great sense of personal satisfaction and achievement. Trust me, if I could do it, so could you! You’d be surprised at what you can achieve with just a little push!!

  1. I think Skytrex is a wonderful concept. I wonder why this place is not promoted so much to our foreign visitors on holiday. Did you see any tourist while you were there?
