Sibu Earthenware & Pottery-Making
Earthenware pottery is very popular in Perak, therefore, a visit to a similar business in Sibu was not so interesting for me.
However, it was good to finally know how piggie banks of various shapes, like rabbits and cats, are moulded.
This business, in its second generation now, was originally started in Pulau Kerto 70 years ago. They moved to Sibu some 45 years later, and have since expanded to Kuching and Miri in Sarawak and Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.
Visitors can purchase the pottery from here, as there is a showroom at the front. The shop is open daily from 8am to 6pm, and closed on Sundays and pulic holidays.

Earthenware pottery is similar in Perak and Sarawak as the industry is operated by the same clansmen!
