River of Life, Kuala Lumpur

Launched in August 2017 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, the River of Life is part of a beautification master plan of Kuala Lumpur.

The River of Life beautification project runs from the river stretch from Masjid Jamek to Daya Bumi. Meanwhile, the Blue Pool Project (Projek Kolam Biru) aimed to transform the rivers into an immersive sensory experience, is located at the convergence point of the Klang and Gombak rivers.

The Blue Pool Project is a dancing water fountain, blue-lighted corridor, plus sound and lighting effects. Besides beautification, the other components of the master plan are river cleaning and river development.

In my opinion, the best time to visit the River of Life is around 7.30pm, during the changing of lights from day to night. When I was there at 11pm, it was too dark and my photos did not turn out well.

Do walk along the River of Life as it is now part of the Cultural Heritage Walking trail.
