Mother’s Day was celebrated in grand style at Ipoh Parade shopping complex in Ipoh, where the finals of the Mom On Parade 2013 beauty pageant for mothers got underway.
Similar to the preliminary round a week ago, I am splitting my posts into Categories A (28 – 40 Years Old) and B (Above 40 Years Old).
Mom On Parade, which is organised by Lion Ipoh Parade Sdn. Bhd. almost annually in conjunction with Mother’s Day, is a very competitive pageant that looks beyond mere outer beauty.
In this competition, contestants were put through a few tests. First, there was an introduction round, followed by a showcase of talent. This year, besides signing and dancing, one contestant showed off her hairdo talent while another displayed her flower arrangement talent.
The contestants then dressed in their wedding day splendour, where they also had to pick a question to answer in the Q&A session.
