Orchid Fest – Competition & Promotion In Conjunction With Hari Raya Aidilfitri
It’s been a couple of years since I visited the orchid show organised by Persatuan Orkid Ipoh. I always enjoy and appreciate the beauty of orchids, although for the life of me, I can never remember their names.
Anyway, if you are interested in orchids as well, or just plants in general, this Orchid Fest is on-going until 9th July, 2017, so make time for a visit.
Currently hosted at Tesco Extra in Bercham daily from 9am to 9pm, this is a good opportunity to see the many species of orchids in full bloom. There are a number of rare ones, too, being entered in the orchid competition.
Besides orchids, you get to see other plants such as bonsai, fruit trees as well as exotic plants from South America. They are all for sale. The South American ferns and plants are new exhibits, if I am not mistaken.
Also available are other natural products such as wild honey, driftwood and various wood items.
This Orchid Fest was launched by Perak State ExCo YB Dato’ Dr. Mah Hang Soon yesterday at 9am.
