Nam Thean Tong Cave Temple, Ipoh

During my visit to Ling Sen Tong almost two years ago, I had wanted to drop by Nam Thean Tong, located just next door. However, the cave temple was closed and I postponed my trip until recently, when news of manifestation of a face of “Lord Buddha” spread like wild fire. I just had to go and see for myself.
Nam Thean Tong is said to be one of the oldest cave temples in Ipoh, dating back to 1867. It was first discovered by a Chinese Taoist priest, who was from the same Taoist lineage as Loong Tow Ngam cave temple (3rd mile Jalan Kuala Kangsar), Tung Wah Tong cave temple (7th mile Ipoh – Tanjung Rambutan Road) and Nam Tou Ngam cave temple (opposite YMCA Ipoh).
