N.16 Bus Café, Sekinchan

N.16 is one of the newer attractions in Sekinchan. After spending a few hours out and about in the hot afternoon sun, we couldn’t wait to hop on the bus to get a respite from the heat. The idea of cooling down with an icy bottle of soft drink was most appealing.

We took our seats at the back of the bus only to be told that this section was reserved for those whose minimum bill was RM50. Oh well, since we thought we were there for just drinks, we moved to a smaller table nearer to the front of the vehicle.

After placing our orders, we realised that our bill would total to above RM50 after all, and moved back to the reserved table! Ah, so much hassle! One thing good about the reserved table was that it has access to a power point, so I charged my phone while waiting to be served. As you know, when travelling, one can never have enough of battery juice.

By the way, diners may also choose to sit al fresco style but it would be foolish of us to do so in the middle of the day.

N.16 offers a rather limited menu, understandably. Not only were we on a bus that was stationary, it was also on top of a container, as you can see from photo #1. Look at the food that we ordered, for just afternoon tea. It was indeed a trip to eat, travel and sleep!
